Year 7 Catch-Up Grant

How much funding did we receive this year?

This year we have received £14,192 Catch Up Premium. The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of Key Stage 2. 

How do we intend to spend this year’s allocation?

We have allocated the funding to support our pupils in the following ways:

Educational Impact – 2016/2017 cohort

45 pupils arrived at our academy who were not yet secondary ready in English. 34 pupils are now on track; 75% of catch up pupils in English made expected progress. 37% of pupils made better than expected progress.

32 pupils arrived at our academy who were not yet secondary ready in Maths. 26 pupils are now on track; 81% of catch up pupils in Maths made expected progress. 40% of pupils made better than expected progress.
